SUMMARY OF 2016 EVENTS AT THE DEPOT MUSEUM ROCKDALE HERITAGE DAYS During the weekend of April 22nd and 23rd, the city of Rockdale will be hosting the Rockdale Heritage Day Festival. The Depot Museum will be involved with activities on Saturday, April 23rd. At that time, both the Depot Museum and the Blacksmith Shop will be open and staffed. There will be an archery demonstration provided by the Milam County 4H shooting sports participants beginning at 1 PM. Leonard Kubiak will be displaying his extensive Native American collection inside the depot beginning at 2:00 PM. Jimmy McKimmey will be cooking “Hobo Stew” which will be free for those who wish to participate and the museum staff will be selling drinks and cornbread to go with the stew.
